Default Just bought an HD Omni. Does Avid offer free support to get me up and running?

Hi, I successfully chained my brand new HD Omni with my Digi 192 and but can't figure out how to find out how much latency I'm getting between the two unit's i/o's and then how to fix that. Also I have some setup questions as well.

Does Avid offer free Tech Support with newly purchased products - if so who do I contact?
Thanks!
Rich

When you register your Omni you should get a couple of emails in return, and one of them will be a complementary support code that is good for (I think) 90 days, so you'd be able to contact them using that.

You could also post your questions here. Us fellow owners could probably help you with most of it.

I too am trying to set up my Omni with a 192 on PT HD 10.

My first question is whether I can connect the Omni to the expansion port of the 192 as this only requires one digi-digi mini cable rather than 2.

Secondly, if it's possible, is there any way someone could make the .pio file available? Anything that works would be amazing.

Thanks.

Yes you can. The limitation regarding Omni is (I think) that you can only have one. But if you connect 192 as first interface, you can daisy-chain another. Maximum is two interfaces, because the DigiLink cable can only carry 32 i/o

You don't need to worry about that as PT software handles delay compensation when you use DigiDesign/Avid branded interfaces

Thanks. I'm actually in a rush to set that up for a recording next week. Please contact me offline and I'll pay for someone to help me get this up and running. Fortunately, I'm not too hard to find... Thanks.

Native or HDX, it is fairly straight forward. Not sure why you wouldnt use the Omni as the monitor and hang the 192 as the secondary.

Do you have a separate clock or will you run loop sync? The hardware manual is straight forward. The pio file is generated by pro tools.
