Yes, but this is a bigger Q then just this PT9 upgrade since it seems to be kind of a trend to suddenly shift to just giving us the upgrade via the companies homepage (like Spectrasonics). The Trillian upgrade costed me close to twice as much as to the US residents.

I happily payed EUR 250 without thinking too much about it, because this update has everything on the feature list that I really wanted for a long time.
And I don't care if someone over the pond or in the north has to pay some $ less or more.

In Germany end user prices have to include VAT unlike in the US. That's 19% in Germany. But if you run a business you get the VAT back anyway. So to really compare the price you need to take the VAT off the digi store price to compare it.

250$ are around 178€ at the moment. With 19% VAT added that makes 211€ incl. VAT in Germany as an example. Yes, still more than a straight conversion from $ to € but not as much as some people claimed here.
