Cleaning out the studio and need to get rid of these:

I have 2 complete Protools HD2 systems for sale (computer/PCIe cards and interface).

Down grading a 3 room facility to a single room.

I am amazed by the people on here contacting me to see if it comes with the $2400 HD/Ultimate license lol
Avid does not allow transfer of Licenses!! The only way you can obtain a 10HD license is by buying the latest Ultimate for $2400 or if you already own 9HD/10HD/11HD/12HD.
Anyway I will just throw these in the electronics recycling.

Just a FYI regarding selling HD licenses. Since about two years Avid allow sale and legal transfer of HD licenses via the TOO and doesn’t need to have hardware attached in order to sell and transfer anylonger.

Thats good to know. How would that work though? If I transfer my up to date HD/Ultimate bundle would the person receiving the license then have to pay the $999 to get it up to date on their ilok account!?

No, the new owner would get the license to his/her ilok account and whats left of the support plan as far as I seen. When it comes to the HD9/10/11/12 versions you just use the TOO and pay the $75 USD and I assume the same for PTU. Havent heard anything different but will check that regarding Ultimate.
