Does the Digidesign 192 Analog work with no cards?

If you have a chassis with all of the cards removed, can you still use just the stereo aes/ebu and spdif ins and outs on the unit?

Also, can you use the legacy ports as well?

I'm thinking the answer must be yes, but I want to be sure before I take the plunge.

Thanks for the reply. Out of curiosity, what makes you think that? The cards don't have clocks or anything. The clock is built into the chassis in the same section as the stereo AES/EBU and SPDIF I/O, which is also built into the chassis. I know they work with just one card installed for sure. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work, outside of an artificially imposed reason by Digidesign. I'm not saying they wouldn't do something like they, they probably would. I just didn't think they did.

actually the clock is handled by the digital card, this is why you can not run a 192 w/o a digital card for a 16 analog in and out
