Default PT 12.7.1 crashes while in loop playback at 88.2

Hi,
PT HD Native 12.7.1
Sierra

When I put a short timeline selection in loop playback, PT unexpectedly quits.
I initially had it happen while searching for a frequency with Oxford EQ.
It seems to happen with the Avid EQ as well.
When I try a 44.1 session, all is well.

Any ideas?
