Works perfect - As long as you have the latest Cardbus Card.

Release of PLX CardBus for Pro Tools Users. NOTICE: The Magma Engineering and Compatibility Test Group has determined that some Pro Tools users with Magma CardBus card (PN: 01-04551-02) and the current PCI bridge on the expansion chassis, may experience computer lock-up or clicks and pops in audio when using Playback Engine sizes of 2 or more DSPs. The Magma Engineering and Compatibility Test Group has also determined these issues may be alleviated by swapping out the original Magma CardBus card (PN: 01-04551-02) with a different version of the Magma CardBus card (PN: 01-04551-03)

Powerbook 1 GHZ, 1 GB Ram, HD2, Magma CB2 +80 tracks.

I am using the 2 slot but have found that the HD 2 draws too much current from the 90w power supply. HD 1 works fine however. I connected a 300w PS to the 2 slot and all works fine with an HD 2. I am discussing with Magma support as we speak.

Hello,

DigiDesign has discontinued using the 2 slot chassis. It is posted off their compatibility website under chassis requirements. Therefore, DigiDesign don't have any information whether the 2 slot will work with Digi Cards or not because it's been discontinued and they haven't performed any testing on it.

Hello,

DigiDesign has discontinued using the 2 slot chassis. It is posted off their compatibility website under chassis requirements. Therefore, DigiDesign don't have any information whether the 2 slot will work with Digi Cards (via PowerBook running Mac 10.4.5)or not because it's been discontinued and they haven't performed any testing on it recently.
