Thumbs down PT 8.01cs1 / zoom in-out bug is back !!!

Hi,

I've started a new session today with midi tracks.
I'm getting this weird bug that stops me from zooming back and forth in the edit window...
No matter what, R and T keep zooming in to the max and then stuck, no way back!
All my sytem is clean with latest pi versions, etc, etc...
What gives Digi ?

I dont know if this is what your talking about, but im having a zoom in problem with a session that has a few midi tracks.

I cant seem to zoom in enough to see the waveform lines. I can zoom to see the colored in waveform, but cant zoom to see when it turns into a thin line thats not colored in.

Is this the problem your having?

Runnin PT 8.0.1 on a PPC mac.

Sounds like you hit the "E" key by mistake. I forget the term, but what you are describing will do exactly that. Hit the "E" key again, and you should be good to go.

No this was a known bug in 8.0-8.01. I believe it was fixed in 8.03, but bad luck if you're on PPC :-(

To add some more confusion to this...my zooming issues started in 8.03 I had to go back to 8.01 last week. All is well now. 8.03 and 8.03cs1 was a disaster on my system. I'm using LE but this seems to be affecting some HD and LE users.

You were right, I was in edit focus mode. I never realized that you couldn't zoom that far in in EFM.

Thanks Hause!!

The same here.
I just made a fresh install up to PT 8.0.3 cs1.
I cannot zoom vertically on my midi tracks. ( I used to be able to do it in some projects but it stopped all of a sudden).
Vertical zoom on audio tracks works fine.
Toggle zoom works fine.
"R", "T" zoom works fine.

M y midi tracks are frozen! help!!!!!

digi?

This issue has been addressed as a bug... but it is easily fixed. It seems to stem from an issue related to the default session length. If you go into preferences and reduce the session length to a reasonable amount of time, the bug should vanish. By reasonable I mean, if you're working on a song that is 3:30... the session length really doesn't need to be any longer than 10-15 minutes really... Or if you want a bit more room, I usually put it around 30 minutes.
