Pro Tools SE QuickStart error + administrator login fail

I purchased an M-Audio MobilePre with Pro Tools SE included. I had the "error starting Quickstart" message when attempting to open Pro Tools, so I downloaded this patch to solve the problem:

It failed to solve my problem, so I asked Yahoo Answers, who told me to download this: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...ssage/en375833

Except when I try to open the download, it says: "Failed! Login as administrator and try again."
I am the administrator.

I am the administrator; there are no other accounts.
I am stuck.
