Default CD-RW - USB interface

I'm trying to find an outboard CD/RW that will work with my ProTools/Mac system as well as my Windows system. Obviously, the easy way is to get a USB CD burner that has both Mac and Windows drivers.
Has anyone out there used any of these newer CD burners for music on the Mac and PC? If you have I'd like to know what you're experience has been like and what hardware you'd recommend!

Thanks,

Yoshi68
