Channelstrip, by Metric Halo, is pretty amazing.

Just something I thought worth it to bring to your attention:
about Channelstrip (on TDM) is not so great on upgrade policy.

well I have to say thanks for all the input i have looked at the specs and features of many of the mentioned plugs. I already am using McDSP compressorbank and think that it is sweet, so I don't really need a full channel strip. The Bomb factory will only run on a LE system unless you spend the extra $$$ which in my opinion isn't really worth it. We are in the process of setting up an HD rig in our main room (we decided to try out the Digi002 in our B room to see if we wanted to make the change from analog to digital.) so I'm leaning heavily towards the Filterbank.

No not yet. But in OS9 it was very nice! But we now have Sony and I'm wondering if CS will hang with the Sony stuff.
Anyone using or abusing Metric Halo's CS in LE Land? If so, how is it on the ol' CPU usage?
A little nervous...I e-mailed them weeks ago about buying CS using a money order and I've heard NOTHING....Killer customer support or what?

channel strip is the shizz...It's absolutely my favorite eq plug in of all time...I've used the McDsp (liked it) Waves (kind of liked the Q eq's) at a studio I was at....But the channel strip is a kick arse eq....I'm not exactly crazy about the compressor on it but that eq can shape any kick drum into a freaking monster...As well as guitars and everything else...It's a great great plug in...

MDW without question, if you're looking for smoothness and no color; "10-dB-boosts-in-the-high-end-without-taking-your head-off" kinda smoothness. If you're looking for color, go outside the box, baby.

Since tis thread has been pulled up again,
I´d like to answer my own questio from #590297 - 02/27/04 06:19 AM

i´d like to mention the EQs from URS. They do not intend to be the most transparent
but some of the most musical EQs around. Some features are a bit flawed in adjustment features however, due to the GUI modelling after the vintage gear (classic consoles A and N series)
The graphic console A10, N12 don´t have this problem.

nevertheless, totally recommended!

This is only AU and VST, but I thought it was worth mentioning because maybe some of you use other apps that support AU and VST, too.

Amazing EQ. So is the compressor
