Default trim tool with arrow-wassup?

My trim tool showed up tonight with an arrow sometimes showing on it. It seems to put a little arrow on my clip in the place I grab to lengthen or shorten a clip and then it cuts off the sound there on playback.

What's going on? Is this a new thing? I haven't seen it before. And how can I get rid of it?

It's called Loop Trim and it's horrendous!

Personally I like that tool!

Much better than duplicating or repeating clips

Shame we can’t do a poll on here. I hate it with a passion too.

If you don't like it then just don't select it right?!

Maybe we could ask for a lock on this function, like Shuffle ?

Stephen
More like keep stabbing at F6 whilst swearing until you get the right trim tool

Having said that I don't think I've accidentally used it for a long time, so maybe it's fine as it is.

It's been asked for, for years.

Thanks, all for the quick info. I don't know how I selected that tool but I sure am glad to find out how to make it go away!
