Automation Functions in a Small Controller

I like the layout of the Automation Functions on the Dock (especially the physical buttons), but I need something smaller (I also don't need any other features in the Dock) to supplement my SSL AWS 900. Do any options for me exist?

A tablet with Avid Control on it? All the automation buttons on the Dock are replicated in soft keys in Avid Control.

I was hoping for some physical buttons. I don't find touch screens any quicker than using the mouse.

You *might* be able to hook something up with Stream Deck and perhaps Soundflow, but don't know for sure. Like Nathaniel, I'd go for a dedicated iPad with Avid Control if I didn't want a Dock. Punching a button on the iPad is gonna be just as fast/efficient as a physical button, though not as much tactile feedback.
