Did this ever work for you or did you get this error the first time you tried running PTF?
It appears that it can't find some of the plug-ins, so either the installer was corrupt or the installation did not complete successfully.
I would try downloading the installer from your Avid account and re-installing. When you launch PTF, hold down the N key to force a hardware refresh and hopefully will bring you to the playback engine.

If that doesn't work, we will need some more information about your system and how you are installing the software.

You can also read through the Help Us Help You thread for general setup and troubleshooting information.

It has never worked since I installed. Except one single time. I attempted to open a template and it opened a session. I immediately quit... to attempt a reopening of the session... to no avail.

I have used the uninstaller to remove everything... then reinstalled ProTools First. No change to the broken behavior. ProTools launches... but it does not allow me to open a session.

Late 2015 iMac 5K Retina, 32GB RAM, macOS Big Sur 11.4, ProTools First v2021.6.0

Installing by downloading PTF from Avid site. Doing normal install process, which appears to run normally.
