Thanks dude, it's quite scrappy sounding really but was fun to do :)

The pickups in my LP are the stock ones (Burstbucker pros) they're great pickups but I do find them a little thin in the top end. In sound tests, I like the Rebel Yells a lot, though SS's Bare Knuckle VHII clip has me lusting for one of those!

Hi guys

After spending all weekend getting EZD to work within PT I finally got some of my music on tape. Keep in mind this is a work in progress (recording and song itself) but I'm looking forward to hearing some feedback on what I did wrong on the recording end as well as song construction.

There are 3 guitar tracks and bass track. The 1st gtr is clean Black Duo with gobs of tape echo with the "wow" cranked up.

2nd gtr is the new Crunchy Plexi 50, including the intro lead bit.

3rd lead gtr, after going through a lot of presets and tweaking some of them, I finally gave up and settled on the 10 Cent Stack.

The bass was the Blue Line of course. Crappy bass, new one on the way, Nuff said.

Guitar was a highly modified, old school Peavey Predator with active EMG's.

Couple of gripes that were apparent immediately was the lead guitar is way out in front volume wise. My bad for not paying attention to the final mix volumes. As a result the other tracks aren't quite where I'd like them to sit. Basically, the dynamics are wrong. Also there's fizz, digital sheen that seems to be present, especially the lead.

I've got alot of work and learning to do before I start another track and this song is far from finished. Hopefully you guys can help me out and shorten the learning curve! Thx

PS I can't seem to write songs shorter than 5 mins in length. This shows at 7:45 but the song actually ends at 5:45. Couldn't figure out how to delete the 2 min drum loop at the end.

Greetings Semmi59. Nice song. The Black Forest is a beautiful place. I visited Wutöschingen, Germany a few years ago and loved it there.

Do you use your Korg A2 in the effects loop of the 11R?
I have a Korg A3, but I haven't tried using it with the 11R yet.

Yes, i use the effects loop and think it's one of the best features of the 11Rack because
you can adjust the send and return levels. The A2 has a week signal and tends to clip
when i used it in the loop of my boogie triaxis which i used many years before.
Signal chain is UD Stomp, A2.
I mostly only use the reverb from the A2 since i got my UD Stomp, but delay and chorus from the A2 are great too.

So I finally took the plunge into using the Pro Tools soft synths...played some very poor keyboard parts.....was a bit bored so I also dusted off my Princeton Recording Amp (with the built in attenuator)turned up to 10....threw a mic in front of it and recorded this track....used my Tom Anderson Mongrel (Tele body with Strat guts and a bridge humbucker)......

Another one...this one is a rockin' blues thing...originally I was going to have my son's friend play slide in some of the solo spots but he was never available...all Eleven Rack...including the bass.......used my PRS SC245 for the first solo...my Duesenberg for the second (using the neck P90), the third my PRS SC245 and the last one was my PRS DGT.....Swampy...

I use a Korg A1 sometimes in the Eleven's loop; the modulations are great...
