Default Universal I/O Interface

Does anyone know if there is a universal hardware i/o (ad/da converter) that can be used to route audio signal in/out of a Host-based Protools system, Digital Performer, Logic, etc?

Default Re: Universal I/O Interface

Lots of boxes work with lots of software, but protools ONLY works with DIGI hardware. Ain't life a beach?
