Pro Tools not registering any incoming audio on macOS Sierra

hello there, I'm testing PT12.5.2 w/ Sierra 10.12.6 . . all works wonderfully, until I need to record something from external sources..!
I've seen this issue with Mojave ">system prefs>privacy>allow pro tools to use mic input" but theres not this option with Sierra.
I've installed the up to date drivers according to App Manager
I've selected HD Native as my Playback Engine.
if I boot in Yosemite /Ptools 11, input works.
if I export that i/o setting to PTools 12, or use default, still no joy.
so my Native HD card is working, pt11 is working, but Sierra + PTools 12.5.2 isn't. .

any ideas ? feel a bit lost now. .

FIXED!!

Bloody eejit that I am.

It was in the Audio MIDI Setup >Configure settings>Analog Inputs> (this had set to default which is +4db...whereas it should’ve been -10db for my 192 ...)

How did I miss that before? Nothing to see here, move on.
