UAD, Eiosis, not in the Compatible Plug In Grid

I remembered UAD and Eiosis plug in were in the Plug In Compatibility Grid, am I wrong?

Are they compatible or what? Are giving you problems with the last update?

Just because it's not in the compatibility grid doesn't mean it's specifically incompatible. There's a whole host of current RTAS plugins that aren't on the grid.

Yeah, but considering Avid suggest not to use plug ins that are not in the plug in grid, I wanna be a boy scout this time and do as avid says, just trying to keep performances as high as possible, and considering part of my plug ins are not in that list I'd like to understand if I should sell them or if are, or will be, compatible

also considering i've seen them in the past they were on the grid, so if avid take them off there should be a good reason

Given the hoops that a developer has to jump through for TDM/RTAS/AS approval, Avid should be a little more rigorous in maintaining the grid. They should leave delisted plugins on the grid with a note, or make a delisted grid below the main grid.

Here's a list (partial no doubt) of current plugins and developers who are marketing and distributing RTAS plugins (or advertised for use with PT via Rewire) that are not on the grid. It's a disservice to the users to not have something on the grid for them.

Note that UA and SSL plugins probably fall under the Fxpansion VST Wrapper compatibility.

Yeah. That compatabilty list is a shame.

They should list those on the box because there are so few.

As noted at the top of the plug-in list - we don't test every plug-in directly and rely on the developers to provide us information on compatibility and testing. If they haven't the plug-in may not be on the grid. We have a process in place for them - they just need to take advantage of it.

With that said, I've brought this thread to the attention of the developer liaison and he's going to reach out to them again to encourage them to get us the necessary info. We've already got some feedback and have put those plug-ins on the list.

Thanks for your reply, I think is in the developers interest to communicate to Avid if their plug in is fully compatible or people like me would consider to sell the plug ins that are not in the list, so they will lose one (or many) of their users
