Default Re: Mobile Me iDisk users, it is time to change to Gobbler

Just found a great reason to get gobbler.

While my dialog assembly sessions are about 50 gigs, my edited session is around 300megs at the moment.

Was going to edit at home and realized I had forgotten the edit session. So I had to come in to get the session.
Had I done a backup, I could have downloaded it at home while having coffee.

I'd have completed 10 minutes by now. Ho hum!

Just gave it another go. Sent two files with public link. Recipient calls me. Says he can´t download. Error: Early end of file or something like that.
Back to digidelivery...

I really want to like this program, and have been hoping it would be a replacement for Digidelivery, but it seems plagued with UI glitches and usability issues that never get solved - every time I decide to give it another try some new unexplained behavior occurs, or I run into some roadblock that I or a client has to work around. Maybe one of these days it'll deliver on its promise - I will say that their customer support team is very responsive, but the program still feels half-baked to me, and I can't use it for client delivery until it's operation is much smoother. For now I've gone with AWS S3 for delivery to clients.

best,
rich
