Default Pro tools 10/11 with LS Saffire 56

I have yet to get either versions to recognize both the eleven rack and saffire 56 in setup/hardware. One or the other but never both to choose one. I have yet to figure out how to properly setup this hardware so it will work properly. Last night I got a blue screen of death with pt11 and now I can't get pt11 to open up with some message that tells me I need to quit the session. I click ok but the message reappears over and over then closes pt11. What gives with pro tools anyway? This is like 10 years ago when pro audio was fairly new.

I continually watch YouTube videos trying to figure these issues out but to no avail as of yet. Please help.

Have the exact same set up use the Sapphire as your ProTools playback engine your 11 rack will not be the playback engine but it will be detected via USB obviously plugged into the computer

Yes I have the saffire 56 set as the playback engine and I have gotten it to work for recording guitar, however, sometimes the eleven rack isn't functional as a software but only with the unit itself. Very glitchy and never the same way twice.

I must have some setting that is inhibiting my setup. I am willing to try most anything to get smooth interaction between pt, ls56, and 11r.

I run win7 64bit on a pcaudiolabs computer optimized for audio. The computer is very fast and with 3 drives has plenty of room and muscle to work with any daw. 16 gb ram and a SS 20 gb boot drive.

My system is a Mac - and runs the eleven rack as the secondary unit -

I couldn't get the system to link and run thru the spdif - I clock thru the 56 as the Main and clock off spdif to the eleven rack

So I run my audio via main outs xlr to a pre on the 56

I haven't tried that yet but I will give it a try maybe tonight if time permits. Have you tried to use the eleven rack with any other DAW?

Thanks

Yeah those orange guys are all right - can't say that I'm crazy bout it but yeah I like the longhorns (they haven't been the same since Vince Young left in 2005)

But that jonny football kid - wow he is fun to watch

I used to know a guy from big springs - Neil something or other

I haven't used the eleven rack with other systems but it is stated to work with other aiso 4 all daw's
