Well it is not ”his way” as PT is set up so you dont need to bother with midi tracks since instrument tracks are a Midi track but programmed so you can use them with Plugins which cant be used on a midi track so, your way is doing the same thing twice basically.

The midi tracks are also for external synths and outboards in conjunction with audio tracks but Instrument tracks has all that for the user already.

Yeah it is there so your eye sight is still working

and that combo is not adviced at all. May well be PT11 with Mojave that is causing glitches. I would do what Janne said to either upgrade PT, downgrade OS.

When I called the OP on that system info he replied in post #3 and said he got a PT upgrade but didn't say what that upgrade is/was. Got to love not getting complete accurate info when trying to help someone.

Hi, i am running 10.14.6 and pro tools 2020.3.0
so the pics are from that configuration.

Hey i got new infos.

It seems like the "clip" is muted. When i set notes outside from the "clip area" then the notes play perfect.
Look at the new pic
And the clip ist not muted or volume down or something. i checked the drop down menue where you can see clips, verlocity etc
