Partial waveforms?

Anyone having waveform problems?

I get a lot of files from various dub stages that have been recorded in destructive punch-record. A lot of times when I import these files into my sessions for layback, I will only get a partial waveform. Sometimes, it is only tones, sometimes it will be part of the file. The audio will play back even with no waveform showing. When I recalculate waveforms from the Clips window, the the entire file will show waveforms.

I am using PT 10.3.3. Most of the stages are using similiar versions. Is this related to the files being allocated in advance of recording, or maybe is it a server issue? Also, I am often "Importing Audio", so I am not bringing the WaveCache file into my session folder. Could that be the issue?

This has been going on for a while, but I though I'd post it to see if anyone else is experiencing this. Not a big deal, just an annoyance.

I think I remember this being addressed in a later update
download the 10.3.8 read-me PDF and look at what was addressed between 10.3.4 and 10.3.8 (I'll do it later)
