Pro Tools HD3, G4 & drives all in 2-rack spaces??

Is it possible?? Has anyone sucessfully installed an HD2 or HD3 into 2-3 rack spaces or experimented with Apple or Windoze/Xp 1-2 space servers (although not supported or on Digi's compatibility list). We know about Magma expansion chassis and Marathon Power-racks for HD3 which uses 4-6 spaces...but that's still too big...Whomever has had the expertise, please advise a better way! [img]images/icons/shocked.gif[/img] I could also use suggestions for long distance connections and routing of ProControl/Control-24, CPU keboards and LCD monitors!

All PT systems, 192 I/Os,sync, MIDI I/Os, HD core & process PCI cards & host computers will be placed in a small single machine room to control noise & temperature. The current machine room is small with only 2, 6 foot tall racks available. We desire to have only keyboards, control surfaces & monitors in the control suites, & simply don't want CPUs, HD-PCI core or process cards, or hard drives in the suites. I think Apple 1U servers only runs OSx.... and till PT runs on OSX... whe still have to wait. I think Apple server should be a good PT rig, almost till PT only works on the PC side... (if it arrive)
