Default dual channel memory

Heres a stupid question..... What is the correct way to install dual channel memory?
I have 4 slots for memory, they are Socket A dimm 0 and dimm 1, socket B dimm 0 and dimm 1.
I orginally had 2 sticks of 512ram in both dimm 0, then I bought more memory (2x512) to add. For the dual channel memory to work correctly, do I put them in socket A or Dimm 0's?

I suggest you follow the manufacturers instructions for your particular motherboard. If you don't have a manual, 99% of the time it can be found online.

Yeah, thats obvious.
Its not listed in there on the correct way to run dual channel memory.
Does it have to be in both DIMMs of socket A? or do I need to match the memory to both DIMM 0's of socket A and B?
