11.3.2 HD on 10.11 - Errors. Troubleshoot thread?

Ok, so we are clearly in unsupported territory.

I will continue updating this first post to address issues seen, related details, and resolutions as they are found.
I am testing on a Macbook Pro, late 2011, PTHD11.3.2 on OSX 10.11 El Capitan (on a clone... not a mission critical system)

Please post details - or message them to me... I'll keep this as detailed and organized as possible

Lots of people seeing this one:
Assertion Error when importing Audio - cannot successfully import audio:
"/Volumes/Development/148208/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm"

Video CAN be imported and brings audio with.
Audio can be dragged and dropped onto a track via Finder
Recording appears to work fine at first glance
Playback appears to work fine at first glance (built in audio)

Plugins not authorizing, message at launch - (Solution Below)
PT is not seeing licenses.

Plugins not working properly, message that they are not AAX plugins - (Solution Below)

NOTE: Perform FULL clean uninstall and reinstall of Waves
Uninstall Waves via Waves Uninstall
***BE SURE you remove all old waveshells/prefs/caches during uninstall of Waves.
waveshells AFTER UNINSTALL - make sure they're gone from application/waves, and also from your systemHDD/Library/ApplicationSupport/Avid/plugins
cache - Finder (GO/alt) - Library/cache/waves (just kill any Waves folders you have in the root of cache)
preferences - Finder (GO/alt) - Library/preferences/waves (just kill any Waves folders you have in the root of preferences)
Also a good idea to kill PT Prefs/etc - Peter Gates PT Prefs app is handy - https://app.box.com/s/vaa87yh62iqi2iqmd25w
Reinstall Waves

Audio/Midi settings show no midi and PT gets stuck on loading midi engine
^system unknown, user didn't say. Appears this may be more to do with an OS issue than PT?
(I personally do not have this issue on a Late 2011 MBP, but will test further later on)

Problems with "FINDER" : when the new driver is installed the finder is not responding for long periods during restart or shut down

EuCon 3.3.1 .. Transport has one Block of Yellow for the Display .. but it works

Yeah, I've seen a couple with certain things spread out. I had hopes of consolidating. I'll keep updating this post as I work through some issues.

As far as plug Dev's - yep... I'm hoping to know something in a couple days or so.

Busy week, so my time to be able to mess with this is limited. In the middle of 3 albums, and two videos, and maybe starting a movie soon. lol

I have a couple more things to try - but I am seeing a few people with the same issues.

Import audio error
Finder Error, slow/etc (I don't experience this)

I see Avid saying Not Supported (duh), but the No Known Issues At This Time sort of surprises me - of course, unless they mean PT12? We are talking 11 here.

Same here, was testing my laptop with El Cap, PT 11.3.1, same Import Audio error:
Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/151228/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559.

Otherwise it worked pretty well, until that point.

I haven't tested with my Mac Pro yet. Still just on my Macbook.

I am ordering another hard drive today, so I'll have a clone for the Mac Pro going soon, and will test it there and report back

NOTE

I tried to find the location the error references, but it is not on my machine
I used terminal to show hidden files and folders, and still nothing

It appears maybe the new OSX update uses some new structure and removed the old location? I am going to copy that file/location and put it on my macbook and see if it resolves this.... not sure what else to try.

I'll report back when I have the time to try that.

You will not find this location on your system. This is a reference to where the code that could not be executed lies on Avid's development system.

I have been using 11.3.1 with 10.11 and have a few issues. The loud pop is back which seems to come from plugins on the master fader but I had this on ocassion with 10.10.5, if I get rid of the master fader it doesn't happen and sometimes I loose audio completely and have to deactivate and reactivate the master fader and then it works again might be the plugin I'm, using. Also Pro tools gets stuck and I have to go to a second desktop and then back and it's back to normal. Some cool things about 10.11 boot time is faster, pro tools 11 lanc his faster, graphics are much snappier when opening new windows.
When you click on pro tools green full screen button it goes full screen and you can do the side by side mix and edit window on one monitor using that new hold down the full screen button for a second or two. I used to have glitchy graphics issue and it's better but when moving the cursor around in the edit window not mix all meters clocks and playback head get laggy. I am using waves plugins without issue. I find it better than 10.10.5 overall. I have mixed several songs with video playback and things have been pretty good except for the few issues.
Goodbye Yosemite. Oh yeah core audio is not supported and the plugin gets removed on install of 10.11 I also have an artist mix and it works but no track readout just yellow blocks so kinda makes it semi usable, faders still work solo mute tha basics.
