Trying to get a solid line over all tracks
Hello everyone. I'm new to Pro Tools so please bare with me. I normally use Adobe Audition. In there I can click anywhere on a track and it will display a red line over all tracks. The line will stay there so I can move over any tracks to line up anything that may be out of sync. I can't find this option in Pro Tools. Can anyone assist? I can provide a picture if needed.

Re: Trying to get a solid line over all tracks
I'm not familiar with this function.
But in Protools you can use the Spot or Grid functions to align tracks to any point that you want.

Re: Trying to get a solid line over all tracks
I think pretty much I'm trying to get the time selection line to show over all tracks and stay there. Then I can line up whatever needs moved.

Re: Trying to get a solid line over all tracks
You can do this by first creating a marker, then CTRL+click or WIN+click the clips you want to move.
Press Enter (far right of your keyboard) at the desired spot in the timeline. That creates a memory location/marker, make sure you select "marker" type. Then hold WIN or CTRL down while clicking the clip(s). (WIN = the Windows logo button, CTRL if you're on Mac.)

Re: Trying to get a solid line over all tracks
Open your Pro Tools Reference Guide and look at page 811 "Timebase Rulers and Conductor Rulers".
