Default ATI Radeon 8500

Just saw this card at the store, has anyone tried it? It does two monitors at once with 64 mb ram, 3d support, blah, blah, blah.

Looks perfect....

We haven't tested the 8500, so I can't say whether it would work or not, but we did just recently qualify the ATI Radeon 7500 with the 2002 G4 models. Check under Dual Monitor AGP Graphics Cards at

Just popped an 8500 in a G4 DP500. PT seems to work just fine with a DVI flat panel and 21" CRT. Hauling out my vga flat panel for a dedicated multiple set-up. Mildly excited, since Apple didn't offer an video upgrade path and this card enables digital as well as analog. Long time coming, though. They're finally in stock.

I saw what I think is the same exact card at Best Buy and I looked on the box only to find absolutely no mention of being able to use it with a Mac. I have notice lots of CD burners and hard drives are the same way. Is it just misleading or am I looking at the wrong product?

Hey, I picked this card up this week and it works great! All pci bus errors gone. Plus 64 mb ram and killer 3d acceleration. The chipset has already been approved by Digi. (The 7500 model) The new 8500 has more ram and is clocked faster.
Highly reccomended for dual monitors...
