Re: \"external clock choice invalid. reverting to internal.\" HELP
Then that means the sampling rate is not the same.
Yes. I am using the default I/O settings. Like Digi said, try that.

Re: \"external clock choice invalid. reverting to internal.\" HELP
I have always used the default settings, I've never had to change them with my current Digi setup. I tried changing the inputs (ADAT 1-2 I put to #1-2) but that didn't work at all either, so yes, they're all at default, basically they're all in a line (1 to 1, 2 to 2, etc). What else could it be?
When you select an input, should it say ADAT 1-8 after the analog inputs? Mine does, which seems logical, but a friend a with similar system (that works with lightpipe in) says other things like "888 in", even though he is using a 002.

Re: \"external clock choice invalid. reverting to internal.\" HELP
The sample rate can only be 48K or 44.1K. I have tried both on the ADAT and in PT.

Re: \"external clock choice invalid. reverting to internal.\" HELP
Did you actually delete all the paths in IO setups for both input and output and default them? If not, try it - sometimes things *look* right, but actually aren't.
Also, how long are the optical cables between the 002 and the ADAT? Are you absolutely sure the connectors are 'fully in' - typically they should 'click' into the port. Silly questions, possibly, but we're getting to the end of possibilities, so we have to look at any little thing that could be a problem. |

Re: \"external clock choice invalid. reverting to internal.\" HELP
I will do that tonight, thanks for the tip. I had never changed the I/O so it SHOULD have always been the default, but obviously something is wrong so I'll delete and default.
The lightpipe cables are about 2 feet and I've swicthed them out a few times so I'm sure they're clicked in; plus I see the LED in the end. Are there any other hidden or not obvious software setups that it could be? I'm a pretty experienced PT user so I've been through all of it I know before I asked on this forum. It seems like it would have worked out of the box. If none of this works I'll have to suspect the ADAT I guess. I WAS experienced with them but it has been a few years!
