no midi input from digi001

I can't seem to figure this one out...my keyboard's midi out is going into the in of the digi001..the out of the digi001 is going back into the keyboard's midi in..this should make the meter move in the mix window with the digi001 selected as the port..the meter however does not move and I can't hear anything..any ideas?..thanks

Have you connected your keyboard analog output into the 001? And created an aux-input for it?

Have you enabled your keyboard in the "Input Devices..." choice in the MIDI menu?
