Digi001 Midiport

Hi..Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use an additional midi port with the Digi001 and will it show up as a device in PTLE?..also, I'm thinking of adding the Midiman midisport USB device..will this work?

yes it will defenetly work.
i use a mark of the unicorn usb device, it works just fine.

You can use any midi box which will operate with OMS. OMS keeps track of everything for you. I have a MOTU MTP A/V which works just fine with PTLE. I can use all 8 of it's ports as well as the one on the 001. It's totally transparent once installed.

Don't know about the Midiman, tho.

It's probably time for you to dig out the OMS manual. You need to set up your synth modules in OMS with the proper channels available and the infamous "patch lists".

Do a search here and in the PTLE forum for 'OMS'. There's a ton of advice out there.

It's a pain to set up - but once it's done, you'll realize it's worth the effort.

This is a midi nitemare...everytime I switch channels in the mix window with midi..the sound is the same..on all channels..I can't use different sounds for each channel..using the fastlane usb device..everything seems fine with that unit..it show up in the mix window midi ports as fastlane..then ports 1 and 2...midi thru is on in PTLE..is there something in PTLE that I'm not doing right to enable the sounds to stay on the channels they are assigned to on my roland xp-30..the keyboard setting work fine with my PC and logic..thanks

I have an XP-30 as well, and OMS does not support the keyboard.

You have to use the JV-1080 keyboard set-up, and manually create the Patch set for OMS to recognize the sounds.
IT IS A BIG BITE IN THE BIG ONE.

Okay..thanks for the advice..I got the fastlane usb model and it seemed to install fine..however when I look at the midi ports in the mix window, it says fastlane but without the channel selection..I only have channel selection with the digi001 port..any ideas?..thanks
