Digidelivery never sends the email
So on several occasions Digidelivery has gotten a delivery but never seems to send the email to me with the download link.
On some deliveries it works - on others it doesn't. No rhyme or reason. The server is sending to my .mac address when it gets a new delivery. Clicking "Test Connection" works without fail and I immediately get an email. Any thoughts? This is maddening and the server allows no way to "force send" another email for a given delivery. Digi! Help! -Stu Thomas

Re: Digidelivery never sends the email
I'm having the same problem when getting a delivery. The server recieves the files, but I don't get the email. The guest account has been getting a "returned" mail and it looks like it's getting rejected by some spam filter outside of my facility as I've turned my spam filter off. I have recieved deliveries and emails from the same client in the past and nothing has be reconfigured in the email accounts or the server. I'm thinking that the IP address of the digidelivery mail server has been tagged as a spam source by some mailserver.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Digidelivery never sends the email
One other thing. When the person sending my digidelivery a file receives the "returned undeliverable" mail, I had him copy the link and send it back to me in a regular email and was able to download the file.
Does the digidelivery mailserver have a named address or just an IP address?

Re: Digidelivery never sends the email
I found a post by Gordon Lyon that will probably solve the problem. Page 25 of the admin guide.
Editing the Host Name You can edit the server’s Host Name in the Net- work Information page. The server’s default Host Name usually does not need to be changed (this Host Name is not related to the external IP Address or Hostname that users enter to log in to the server or send deliveries), but changing the host name may help emails sent from your server to avoid being intercepted by spam filters. Every email has a header which includes the host name of the sending server. The problem is that spam filters will often intercept emails that come from servers whose host name is not a valid domain name, or whose host name does not match the domain name of the sender's email address. For example, if [email protected] sends a delivery from a DigiDelivery server whose host name is abc.com, a spam filter may intercept the email. DigiDelivery analyzes your network to guess an appropriate host name to include in its email headers, and displays this name in the Network Settings page. However, this host name may not be appropriate for your network. If emails from your DigiDelivery server are regularly inter- cepted by email filters, you can set a specific host name that will always appear in the email header. The host name does not need to be a registered domain name, but it may help. To edit the Host Name: 1 Open the Network Settings page. 2 Click Edit. 3 Do one of the following: • To set a specific host name that will always appear in the email header, enter the de- sired host name. – or – • To let DigiDelivery guess an appropriate host name, delete all text from the Host Name field. 4 Click Save.
