Distortion while monitoring on 7.4?
Hi folks.
I've searched for this issue and found a couple of solutions. But I was wondering if there is anything definitive from Digi about this. When I started tracking some vocals today, there would be some major crackles and distortion while monitoring, but it was never actually recorded into the audio track. I did a card digicheck, reseated them, trashed prefs, rebooted and now it seems fine. Although I'm not sure what to tell my clients when it happens again "oh, yeah, just deal with it" Has anyone found a reason/solution for this? PT HD1 7.4 Mac Pro Quad 2Gig RAM

Re: Distortion while monitoring on 7.4?
If trashing prefs helped, i could be as simple as a corrupted preference file. Many possible causes - I'm assuming you're running only compatible plug-ins, etc?

Just basic TDM Dyn III and D-verb. We're only doing a simple mono vocal track over a stereo mix. Oh well...if this solution worked, then I'm happy!!
