Re: Pro Tools 11 - CPU usage holding off USB Audio Error -6104
Yep, feels snappier and still fairly stable my end. I have it installed on a Mac Pro 6,1 and on old 3,1 both running Mavericks, HAPPY.

Yeah cheers for that. How about anyone who has the Late 2013 Haswell iMac and Mbox 3 or Eleven Rack?

Re: Pro Tools 11 - CPU usage holding off USB Audio Error -6104
Solved: turn airport off. Worked for me. No more CPU error.
ProTools 10.3.10 on iMac (custom) mid 2010 3,6GHz i5 16GB RAM 2,25TB Fusion Drive (2TB HDD + 256GB SSD). MacOS X 10.9.5. Digi002R After upgrading to SSD+HDD+Mavericks, a lot of DAE error -6031 or -9128 made impossible to record just a stereo track (four plugins) for more than 20-30 minutes, using external USB HDD. Had to reboot everytime with the first error, it was impossible to continue working. I was planning to split the fusion drive and reinstall Mountain Lion until I discovered that turning Airport off make system stable at all. Give it a try. |

Re: Pro Tools 11 - CPU usage holding off USB Audio Error -6104
I just started to get this -6104 error and I'm using PT7 LE. it's becoming quite annoying.
I have my Mac Pro maxed to 32 Gig and my entire Rig is ONLY dedicated to Music (PT, T-Racks, MBox2) that's it. Only time it get on the Internet with this computer is when I need to come here, and I just plug in my Etherenet cable. otherwise, theres no Internet on this rig either. HELP!.. *Reading thru comments from begining. INTERESTING.

Quote:
That you have 32 GB of memory is irrelevant with your old 32-bit Pro Tools software. You likely need to start by trashing prefs, checking your computer is properly optimized, Unplugging all USB peripherals you can, trying multiple USB ports, and Checking settings are OK like buffer IO size, number of RTAS CPU etc. and troubleshooting plugins. Etc... following an old troubleshooting and optimization guide for Pro Tools 7. Last edited by Darryl Ramm; 01-25-2020 at 10:02 PM. |
