IMO, there is only one viable choice and that is Kingston Storcase DE100i. It is a standard that you see on Glyph, Rorke Data, Tascam (MX2424 and MDR digital dubbers), etc... They are great... Good quality build, work every time.
That being said, I've not been that impressed with Hotswap in Win 2K (as I use for my other rig). I find I have the best reliability when I restart. I don't have firewire here so I can't comment on that. On my Mac, the hotswap and firewire work perfectly. --Ben
