MC control screen just went black

Hi All,
My , new to me, MC control's screen just died. Avid wants 439 to replace and I don't even thing the controller is worth 500. So I'm left with trying to dig up the part on my own. Does anyone know what the part manufacturer is and how to find a replacement screen for it?

Hey Brandon,

I can't really recommend - as someone who has worked with the product since prototype and has disassembled and reassembled each Artist product multiple times - that you do this on your own.

If this is a early Euphonix unit the LCD touch screens are notorious for dieing. I went thru two of them, Avid sent me a third one and that one showed up with bad faders!!

Force the issue with Avid. They know about this and should replace the mcControl
