Default Digitest

I have downloaded the latest version of Digitest from the Digi site. My system works perfectly, but I would still like to periodically run Digitest. Whenever I launch it, it gives me error #4 on the last DSP Farm and first Disk I/O.

Here is my rig:
PT3 - 4.3.2
Beige G3/300
Bit 3 7 slot chassis

From left to right in the expansion chassis

DSP Farm II
DSP Farm II
DSP Farm II
Backplane
DSP Farm
Disk I/O w/ 888
Disk I/O w/ 888
Disk I/O w/ 888

Like I said, everything works perfectly. Is this a known bug OR am I doing something wrong?

I wouldn't worry about it, often times it is necessary to take Digitest results "with a grain of salt".

The true tell tale sign is how Pro Tools is running on your system.

Another way to test the integrity of your farms is to create a session and load up a bunch of plugins. Using DSP allocator keep an eye on which plugins load in on what chips and then go "exercise" those plugins while playing back audio through them.

If there is a problem with the chip, you will most likely see some "issues" quickly. If the plugin works as it should then ignore Digitest.

P.S. Don't tell the programmers I bagged on Digitest on the DUC, OK?

Jon,

Thanks for the honest answer!

I'm not going to worry about it since everything is 100%.

Don't worry, I won't tell anybody.
