S1 Banking on iPad Control App

Hi,

I know there have been some threads about banking but couldn't find a proper answer.

My s1 is linked to my iPad showing in eucontrol see screenshot attached. If I press the bank key my mixer view on iPad does not follow. Only if I click select button on my s1 the mixer view will change properly or even if I click a track in my daw mixer is also following.

Is that a bug or missing feature or a configuration issue?

Theres a pref in the Control App to link views...try that

thanks for your help but which pref? I've been looking for hours through the prefs on my iPad but no luck yet.

View bank independently, in General settings on the Control App.

Hey Eddie thanks for your quick response but my problem still persist.
Maybe I was not clear or detailed enough what I wanna to achieve.

If I click on the bank button on my S1 I would like that the mixer view on iPad will show the exact same tracks I'm seeing on my S1.

I.e. if I start on my S1 showing tracks 1-8 same on my iPad.
Next I click on "Bank>" button. Tracks 9-16 are shown on my S1 but....my iPad is still showing tracks 1-8. I toggled the pref view banks independently to off (globally) as well as to on but no change in behaviour. Does it make sense to post my preferences both iPad and S1? Anyhow see attached.

I think you found a bug :-( I'll speak to the engineers and see what they say.

I hope they can fix it soon. Please let me know if you need more input.

I now remember why this is....you can easily get the screens tracks out of sync with the S1 tracks. To make this work we would have to disable the ability of being able to bank the tablet and only from the S1. We did try allowing the S1 to be banked from the tablet but it was really hard to do reliably. Maybe sometime in the future.

understood..but I guess my workflow is the other way around.
I want the S1 banking my iPad. So I click on my S1 and the iPad will follow.
I don't want the S1 follow the iPad.

I'm a little confused but I think I know why.

My system does exactly what you want to do but the tablets on the S1 are in Meter mode and not multi-master mode (because I have a separate master iPad.) If you can do without the other modes of the Control app (or add another tablet), you could put your S1 tablet in meter mode (then banking on the tablet or the S1, they stay locked together)
