Accessing Plugins
Hi. Pardon my duh here...
But I'm having a hard time accessing the plugins that I've already downloaded from the PT Application Manager. I have downloaded a bunch of plugins and some of them show up in a session when I want to use them as inserts. Others have not. For instance the Air Instruments Bundle (Mini-Grand and DB33, both VIs that I really love and need to have) are AWOL. Also Ozone 5, which I have updated from the Izotope website. It's on my iLok. But it's not showing up as available in the session. Where should plugins live in the system? Isn't it some Library somewhere? Where's that folder supposed to be?

Re: Accessing Plugins
MacHD/library/application support/avid/audio/plugins/
It's on this page for further reference: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...older-location Keep in mind that the library is hidden in OSX now; this link is for Lion but it should work across all later OSX versions: https://www.cnet.com/news/os-x-lion-...my-library-go/ |

Re: Accessing Plugins
Jack,
I was able to find the Plugins and Unused Plugins folders. Thanks for that! So it looks like all the plugs that show up in my sessions are in that folder. Now I need to get those missing (and already downloaded) plugins into the folder, correct? I found the new Bias plugins from Focusrite under the Digidesign folder. Should I drag that to the Used Plugins folder?

Nope This is not the "hidden" Library folder. Just click on the MacHD and go on like described above by Jack. Cheers. |

Further you might recheck if the plugins are already compatible with macOS Sierra before you go to install it on your system. If you then will click on the container of the installer of the plugin it will show you automatically if you will have just to pull it into the plugins folder or if you will have to follow the installer until it´s finished. Cheers. |

Re: Accessing Plugins
My system library folder was hidden on OSX 10.9.5 as was my user library folder.

Re: Accessing Plugins
Here's an update: I was able to successfully install the AIR Instruments suite. That's great but Mini-Grand does not function properly with OS Sierra. This has been documented on other DUC threads, so no news there. We will just have to wait until it gets fixed. Drf!
But now I have a new issue. I've owned Ozone 5 for about five years. It's AAX 64 bit because I used it in PT 11. I downloaded it again from my Izotope account. It's on my iLok but it does not show up when I try to use it as an insert on my Master Fader track. Any ideas?

Re: Accessing Plugins
I was able to solve my iLok issue that I stated above. I now have all of my plugins available to me. Ready to rock!
