Default Pro Tools 10 to 11 upgrade?

Hey guys,

Thinking of purchasing a new MBP and wanted to make sure I can get some PT support on it. Which means I would have to upgrade to 11, are they offering an upgrade from 10-11 still? I don't want to get stuck with the subscription stuff for 12.

Any help is appreciated,
Thx

So has anyone had any luck running Pro Tools 10.3.9 on the new 2015 MBP?

The 2015 MBP is two versions of operating system newer than what is compatible with PT10. PT10 wasn't even qualified with Mavericks, much less Yosemite.

It is doubtful that it will work correctly.

So what will be compatible on a 2015 MBP?

You are confusing the Subscription option with the Annual Support Plan option. You have a perpetual license. Update that license to a perpetual license for Pro Tools 12. You will get a bundled perpetual license for PT 12, 11 and 10. Whether you continue next year by purchasing the Annual Support Plan is up to you. If you don't, your license is perpetual and will continue to work, you just won't be eligible for any upgrades although you will continue to receive point updates to the license you have as long as they are made.

Cheers,

It may be easier to get a 2013 MBP or similar and run my copy of 10? I would lose a lot of plugins (Waves) if upgrading?

Upgrade to PT12 will give you a license for PT10-11-12 so why wouldn't you just go for it?

What Waves plug-ins would you lose? I didn't lose any.
