Elastic Audio in Protools 11.3 not working
Hi!
Im running PT 11.3.0 In a session if I enable elastic audio on any track, it will start analyzing it, the problem is, nothing really happens... it just stays there, analyzing it, for hours. If I open a session that contains tracks with EA already enabled, happens the same. I cant playback those tracks due the analysis any thoughts or solutions? Thanks |

Re: Elastic Audio in Protools 11.3 not working
I am having the same problem and I'm really hoping someone can help me with this. I'm finishing up a 12 song album project and have one song where I can't use elastic audio on a few of the vocal tracks. When I enable EA (using either polyphonic or monophonic) and select "analyze" it starts analyzing but nothing ever happens and the task window shows "analyzing audio" in an infinite loop of scrolling through the regions on that track. It works just fine on other tracks in the session, analyzing a track in a second or two. I'm on PT 11.3 as well.
Each region in the track appears as if it has been muted and will not play until I disable EA on that track. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem? If more information is needed please let me know. I searched the forum and found a few other threads with this same issue but none seemed to provide a solution. As a last resort, is there a number I can call to get help from AVID? This is important and if I have to pay for support I will. Won't be too excited about it, but I need to get this working again. Thanks!!

Re: Elastic Audio in Protools 11.3 not working
try one of these things.
1) select the audio in the track (double click the regions till they're hi lighted) thn consolidate the regions. command shift 3 i think. THEN try it. 2) [this can help a bunch of things] make a NEW track. Then drag the audio from bad track to new track. DO NOT SIMPLY DUPLICATE THE BAD TRACK. make new track, drag bad regions to it. then consolidate the audio.

Re: Elastic Audio in Protools 11.3 not working
Some tips for those that are new to EA.
#1-double-check to see if Pro Tools First has this feature(I don't know) #2-duplicate the track(so if you make things worse, you still have the original so you can always try again) #3-by itself, enabling Elastic audio doesn't do anything beyond analyzing the audio. select track view to show Warp markers and you can see where EA is registering transients. Nothing will happen until you either grab and move markers, or select audio and use the quantize function. #4-since grabbing a single marker and moving it will move EVERYTHING, remember to stop this by one of 2 methods; 1-hold the SHIFT key(which will lock markers on either side of the one you wish to move), or 2-option-click a marker at each end of the area you are working on, so nothing moves in an area off screen(remember that Ctrl-Z is your friend) #5-all to often, using EA will add nasty artifacts to your audio(another good reason to work on a copy of the track or playlist). X-Form gives the very best results, but renders the entire clip with each and every move(HELPFUL TIP; separate the clip around your edits(before you start) so that its only rendering a small clip(instead of a 4 minute clip for a 4 minute song)
