Drum Machine insight?
I am a folk/hip-hop/experimental musician- I have been incorporating electronic sounding drums into my recorded music for years through VST instruments but am at a loss when performing live. Our recorded music is a combination of acoustic elements and digital elements (reminiscent of Portishead meets Gorrilaz, etc.) I would like to start creating and incorporating electronic sounding drums and sounds into our live set but I dont have any experience with Drum machines so I'm not sure what piece of equipment will satsify my needs, if anyone could offer any insight at all I would deeply appreciate it! Here is what I would like to be able to do:
- Create and manipulate drum beats in a live performance setting - Access previously saved patterns/sequences - Capability to load own samples - In addition to quality drum sounds include some bass/synth sounds - Ability to expand sample library - Stand alone! Do not want to bring a computer on stage - Intuitional for live performance use Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!! |
