Default Device manager exclamation, code 10, is this normal?

I looked in device manager and windows shows an exclamation mark next to the m box.

Windows states that the 'driver is enabled and functioning properly'
but also states that 'This device cannot start (code 10)'

I think this is possibly new since loading .0.4 upgrade

any ideas as to how to fix this?

thanks.

Default Re: Device manager exclamation, code 10, is this normal?

ive seen this before and it usually means a driver issue.

i would uninstall pro tools, uninstall the mbox drivers, reinstall pro tools (DO NOT plug in the mbox when it says "plug in your hardware" then install the cs2 update. STILL dont plug in the mbox. After you reboot, plug it in and Windows should find it.

Since youre using the mbox2pro, are you using the included power supply unit? if youre plugging into a regular FW400 port (same plugs on both ends) you should not use the PSU.

Specifically, a code 10 refers to an IRQ conflict, which can be caused by driver installation or compatibility issues. Try different USB ports. Downgrade to 8.0.3cs2 in the mean time.
