Default Keyboard functions PT10 on MacBookPro

Hi group

On my MacBookPro I have a strange problem. My F1, F2 etc. keyboard functions work fine, but others only work when I press 'control^'.
So, for example, when I need to go to 'Grid', I press 'F4'. No problem there. But when I need to 'trim end', for example, I need to press 'control S' instead of just 'S'.
There is nothing in the Avid knowledge base that can help.
I run PT10 on my Mac Pro as well, and there it works fine. Both keyboard preferences are the same...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Alan

You wrote control. Do you mean command? Do you have focus mode enabled in the edit window? It's a small black box with the letters az in it just to the left of the clip list.

No, I really mean control. I'll check out the focus mode settings, I'll let you know if that is the thing.

Thanks, Alan
