Default -6085 error EVERY HOUR, on the hour, at the hour?!

This is very strange to me ( and very frustrating ). I am getting error -6085 every 4 minutes past the hour every hour. So for example tonight I got the error at 8:04pm, 9:04pm, 10:04pm and 11:04pm . I have reinstalled BIOS, reinstalled windows xp pro SP2, Installed pro tools 6.9, installed hyperion drivers, all applicable ASUS drivers. ( although I couldn't find any IEEE drivers) tried the other Firewire port, removed external firewire drive from firewire bus, synced from internal instead of light pipe ( digimax LT ) disabled every device I'm not using ( including LAN)

I used to not have this problem. The only difference I can think of is that I'm using 2 SATA drives ( VIA) now instead of 2 IDE ultra ATA drives. Also, different installs of Windows and PT 6.9 instead of 6.7 ( but it happened in 6.7 too ) Please help me guys. This is a very embarrasing problem! Thank you Thank you Thank you !!!.

AMD 3400 XP
Asus K8V SE deluxe
WD 37 GB raptor 10000 rpm SATA
Maxtor 60 GB SATA
ati radeon 7500
1 GB (2X) 512 MB pqi memory
external Firewire maxtor 120 GB HD in Venus DS3 enclosure
digi002 R
Digimax LT

Things that happen at set intervals normally indicate a virus or a scheduled task issue. What's your AutoSave interval set to in Pro Tools?

I think it's 5 minutes. (I'm not sure exactly what it is ) I know it's not as much as an hour though. Also keep in mind that the hour interval remains true even after restarting and/or relaunching pro tools. thanks again, guys.

Ok, I checked the autosave settings. They are at Keep: [10] most recent backups. and Backup every [5] minutes. So what other kind of automatic tasks happen once an hour? Thanks a lot!

Screen Saver? VIRUS? Backup software? Anti-Virus software? Norton Utilities? Hard drive utilities? Sleep/Hibernation settings? Have you quit Pro Tools and deleted all the DigiBase folders as described in the sticky Troubleshooting thread?

Hey Rail. Thanks a lot for you help. I'm on a fresh install of Windows XP that has not touched the internet once. No norton or any anti-virus. I have the monitors set to turn off after 4 hours. I have also done all the sticky Throubleshooting thread tips. You've got me curious about the automatic backup. Does windows have a built auto backup program? I found and turned off Automatic Updates, and the Firewall. I think these things were reinstated with the new installation of windows. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

I will find out in exactly 38 minutes!! haha. Thanks again.

Can you list the processes that are running on your system?

Rail: Thank you sooo much. I finally figured it out. It was my screen saver! I turned it off, and I don't get the error anymore! I'm extremely happy. ( minus the fact that i'm doing the most rediculous session today ) thanks again!

Hi!

I'm about to get my 002R to authorised repair center here in Finland but before that I try once again in here.

Firewire disconnects once in hour. When I turn my computer on, first drop out comes exactly after one hour and so on. It doesn't happen only with Pro Tools but also with for example WinAmp or software DVD-player. I bought ADS PYRO PCI 64-card and that didn't help. There shouldn't be any scheduled tasks, it isn't Antivir or firewall either. There shouldn't be any automatic updates. I have also checked all the processes from internet, there shouldn't be any unnecessary ones. And no, I do not have screen saver on. I don't have any other firewire-devices connected either to computer or to 002R.

Little information about my computer:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
Asus A8V Deluxe
Western Digital Caviar SE 80GB SATA150 7200rpm (system)
Western Digital Caviar SE 200GB SATA150 7200rpm (audio)
4 x Kingston 512MB DDR 400MHz
Windows XP Home (Finnish edition)

Any ideas would be appreciated...Allen, Matt P, Digi staff, anyone?!?

Thanks already!
