Default MBOX 2 HARDWARE AND DRIVER QUESTIONS

What is the driver bit depth of the MBOX 2 and the converters.

also, If my multitrack host can run the out->put of each audio channel directly to the MBOX 2 as oppossed to the internal summed buss, is it now being summed by the hardware or the software?

and is there any benefit or drawback to this?
