Default machine code

HI,

Does adding additional RAM to a PC change a computer's machine code?

I have several plug-ins that are authorized using call-responce codes that are generated using the computer's machine code and I wanted to know if I was going to have to re-authorize these plug-ins if I add more RAM to my PC.

Thanks

I doubt it. It is a very common thing to upgrade so software developers had to be rather stupid if they didn't allow any changes to be made in amount of RAM.

It doesn't make Windows freak out, and XP uses "machine code" to check that the installation is legit.

No. the system ID is generally generated from a combination any or all of the following Processor ID, Mother board ID, Network Adapter ID, Operating system. RAM is not part of the equation
