Pro Tools HD 8 Compatibility Question

Hi,

My question is will PTs HD 8 work properly on my Power PC G5?......I am confused in regards to answering this question on the Avid Systems Requirements page.

My computer specs are:

** OS X 10.5.8
** 1.5 G Ram
** PCI slot which has the PTs PCI HD card installed

Someone told me that PTs HD 8 will only run with a PCIe card only.

I continue to operate PT8 on an early 2005 G5 2.0ghz Mac, Accell 3 w/ older PCI-X cards (not PCIe) OS 10.5.8. It has been running smoothly (more or less) for years. I would increase your RAM to at least 4GB.

FYI Anything above PT 8.0cs2 will not run Spectrasonics VI's. That may or may not be an issue for you.
