A free plugin??? Holy Cow. I'll try it. Another nice one for this sort of effect is PSP Vintage Warmer.

I like it! Nice to have the "bright" switch there for when you want to preserve the highs.

Hi Chris,
i purchased the full version some days ago and found you can use it as an brickwall limiter also...
just put it on the master and set trim to zero db...no artifacts on hihats or cymbals ...cool
i think Steven did an awesome job on his plugs..have i said that i purchase vt3 also ?
i love the plugs

Sounds a little more crunchy than punchy to me. I'll stick with Pheonix for most applications, but I have had lovely results a synth bass that I wanted to distort.
