Inserts affecting send meter but not channel meter?
In the past, if i load a compressor plugin on a channel insert and boost the Comp's output, it affects the main channel meter even causing it to clip (once i find a suitable setting). In my current session, if i load a comp on an insert and crank the comp output, the DAW meter is unaffected, yet, if I create a send on the same channel, the return meter that pops up is clipping like crazy and stops if i remove the comp insert.
i admit im a bit of a noob when it comes to signal routing but what the heck is going on here and how SHOULD things be happening here? |

Re: Inserts affecting send meter but not channel meter?
Bug. The bussing in PT9 has a few glitches that show up sporadically. They're pretty rare, thankfully. Closing and reopening the session usually straightens things out. If not, quit and relaunch PT. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know what to tell you.
