Well, we could play to know who has the biggest :)

But, it's a legend and AFAIK, nobody has never proved anything on that subject, but in another forum, I did prove it three years ago. If you can understand french : http://youtu.be/YKaLnhunANY

And seriously, I can't tell you how many "engineers" with countless years mixing who told me that the sound was better in Macs than in PC, that the aif format sounded better than wav (yes, seriously). But not even one did made any serious test to check if the sh#t they heard and repeated as parrots was true.

And, I had time to ear that kind of legend, I started mixing in 1979, and with Pro Tools in 1997 with PT3.

And in fact, I couldn't imagine a reason why bounce has to be different than downmixing to track.

At work, I use to downmix rather than bouncing for some good reasons, but quality has nothing to do.

Same! Only thing I notice with bounce to disk is sometimes mute automation doesn't appear in the bounce. Only happens on like 1 out of 50 sessions though. It's weird. Only happens on PT 10. Other than that, it works great!
