EDIT: something just occurred to me. I'm not in front of my rig, but I just watched a video on Revival. It was triggering gain reduction meters in PT11 in the video. Three possibilities: a bug, revival involves dynamic processes, or the video was stealthily using a dynamics plug-in on a hidden insert (the mix window only showed inserts A-E). Can anyone confirm?

they need input and output gain adjustment to make life easier. I haven't played too much with revival but...it seemed like a 2 band eq'ish kind of adjustment.

I haven't posted here in over a year. I bought the VMR last night in a binge. I'm writing because to my ears it sounds extremely harsh. I use Neve 1073's and the SSL eq's in my rack and have the Waves and UAD plugs and these sound the wost by far.

To each his own but I needed to post this.

I'm not going to get my hopes up, only to be disappointed when Slate Clause doesn't leave an update under the tree on Christmas morning.

I can wait, though. Got Waves NLS, to which I've become accustomed.

Though I thought the VMR suite of plugs sounded excellent and were easy to use (the demo was fun) - I escaped Black Friday with only hardware purchases .... My plug in chest already has much that I have only scratched the surface of as well...
